Love Like He Loved

Verse 1 (Acoustic, reflective) I’ve seen crosses on the courthouse And Bibles on the dash Heard a whole lotta truth spoken But not always wrapped in grace We can quote the red letters Talk about right and wrong But if mercy ain’t behind it Then we missed the point all along He said they’ll know we are His By the way we choose to love Not by how loud we argue Or who we rise above ⸻ Pre-Chorus Truth without compassion Ain’t the way He walked He never led with stones in hand He led with open arms and love ⸻ Chorus So love like He loved With mercy in your eyes Stand on what is holy But don’t weaponize Hate the sin, not the sinner Every soul’s worth the blood If we’re gonna call Him Savior We gotta love like He loved ⸻ Verse 2 (Light drums enter) He sat with broken people The lost, liars, and thieves Didn’t say their sin was nothing But He called ‘em to believe “Go and sin no more,” He told her But first He stopped the crowd From throwing stones of judgment From shouting condemnation loud He didn’t come to condemn the world That’s what the scripture says He came to save the lost and hurting And raise the spiritually dead ⸻ Pre-Chorus (build) You can’t shame a heart to freedom You can’t scare a soul to change It’s kindness that leads to turning It’s grace that breaks the chains ⸻ Chorus So love like He loved With mercy in your eyes Stand on what is holy But don’t weaponize Hate the sin, not the sinner Every soul’s worth the blood If we’re gonna call Him Savior We gotta love like He loved ⸻ Bridge (Worship Lift) Every person you pass on the street Is someone He chose to die for Every enemy, every outcast Is somebody Heaven cries for Speak the truth, but speak it gently Let your pride be crucified If we forget compassion Then we’ve stepped away from Christ ⸻ Breakdown (Music Drops) Judge not, lest you be judged That’s what He said Before you point at somebody else Check your own heart instead ⸻ Chorus (Big, Choir Feel) So love like He loved With mercy in your eyes Stand on what is holy But don’t weaponize Hate the sin, not the sinner Every soul’s worth the blood If we’re gonna call Him Savior We gotta love like He loved Final Chorus (Big, Choir Feel) So love like He loved With mercy in your eyes Stand on what is holy But don’t weaponize Hate the sin, not the sinner Every soul’s worth the blood If we’re gonna call Him Savior We gotta love like He loved
