[Verse 1] Go now, rich men, weep and wail, Your coming miseries will prevail. Your riches rot, your clothes consumed, By moths and rust, your fate is doomed. Your gold and silver, tarnished, stained, A witness 'gainst you, pain unchained. [Verse 2] The laborers' pay, by fraud held back, Cries out to heaven, on your track. Their pleas have reached the Lord of Hosts, Who hears the cries of countless ghosts. In earthly pleasure, you have thrived, With wanton hearts, your souls deprived. [Chorus] The just you've killed, condemned with might, They offered no resisting fight. So brothers, wait, with patient soul, Until the Lord makes spirits whole. For early and for latter rain, He bears the weight, endures the pain. [Verse 3] So patience hold, and steady be, The Lord's return, we soon shall see. No grudges bear, lest you be judged, The Judge stands near, your fate begrudged. Look to the prophets, brave and true, Who suffered much, for me and you. [Pre-Chorus] The Lord is kind, with tender grace, His mercy shines on every face. Above all else, don't swear an oath, By heaven, earth, or any troth. Let yes be yes, and no be no, Lest condemnation's seeds you sow. [Chorus] Is trouble near? Then humbly pray. Is joy your lot? Sing psalms today. If sickness strikes, call elders near, They'll pray with oil, to cast out fear. In Jesus' name, your faith will save, The Lord will raise you from the grave. And if you've sinned, forgiveness flows, His healing grace, your spirit knows. [Bridge] Confess your faults, and pray as one, That you may heal, till all is done. A righteous prayer, with fervent heart, Can move the world, and play its part. [Hook] Family of flesh, if from truth you stray, And someone returns you on your way, Know the Lord has this to say: Who saves a soul from death, From error's path, with every breath, Will be redeemed, a multitude of sin, That you will bring salvation deep within. [Melodic Outro] Who saves a soul from death, From error's path, with every breath, Will be redeemed, a multitude of sin, That you will bring salvation deep within.
