Reality Check
[Intro] Yeah... They told you the world was kind. They lied. They told you everybody matters. They lied. They told you good wins in the end. Look around. Welcome to Reality. King Koff. [Verse 1] Ain't no angels in the skyline, just smoke in the air, Everybody screaming fairness, but nobody care. Every man for himself when the lights go dark, Everybody got a smile 'til they smell blood in the shark. They tell kids dream big, reach up for the stars, Then chain 'em to a desk and remind 'em who they are. Talk about tomorrow like it's promised to arrive, Whole city full of ghosts still pretending they're alive. The rich get richer, the weak get used, The winners write history, the losers get removed. Everybody wants peace 'til there's something to gain, Then they stab you in the back and blame it on the game. See, I learned young there ain't justice in the streets, Only predators and prey when survival needs to eat. You call it evil, I call it understanding, I stopped hoping long ago and started demanding. [Hook] The world ain't good. The world ain't fair. Nobody's coming. Nobody cares. Smoke in my lungs. Blood in the air. You pray for a miracle. I become your nightmare. The world ain't good. The world ain't fair. Kings get crowns. Corpses get prayers. Everybody wants heaven. Nobody wants war. Until they gotta kick down Somebody else's door. [Verse 2] Look around, tell me where the heroes at? Half of them bought, the other half trapped. Everybody got principles until the money call, Then they fold quicker than a Tentacool in a Poké Ball. You believe in redemption? I believe in leverage. You believe in virtue? I believe in pressure. You believe in destiny? I believe in fear. Fear built empires long before you got here. See, hope's just a drug that they sell to the weak, Keep 'em chasing empty promises they never gonna reach. Tell 'em "keep believing," tell 'em "hold on tight," Meanwhile somebody upstairs getting rich every night. The world don't reward good. The world rewards power. One bad decision can erase ten thousand hours. One wrong turn, one bullet, one betrayal, And suddenly your whole life's another cautionary tale. [Hook] The world ain't good. The world ain't fair. Nobody's coming. Nobody cares. Smoke in my lungs. Blood in the air. You pray for a miracle. I become your nightmare. The world ain't good. The world ain't fair. Kings get crowns. Corpses get prayers. Everybody wants heaven. Nobody wants war. Until they gotta kick down Somebody else's door. [Verse 3] I've seen loyalty vanish for a handful of cash, Seen brothers become enemies in the blink of a flash. Seen people sell their soul for a seat at the table, Then act surprised when the devil labels them expendable. That's why I don't trust. That's why I don't wait. That's why I take what I want and decide my own fate. You can keep your faith. You can keep your dreams. I've seen too much darkness to believe those things. The smoke taught lessons the light never could, That monsters survive because monsters understood. Everybody got a conscience until survival gets tested, Then morality dies and self-interest gets elected. So don't tell me the world's beautiful. Don't tell me it's bright. I've watched too many stars disappear into the night. [Final Hook] The world ain't good. The world ain't fair. Nobody's coming. Nobody cares. Smoke in my lungs. Blood in the air. You pray for a miracle. I become your nightmare. The world ain't good. The world ain't fair. Kings get crowns. Corpses get prayers. Everybody wants heaven. Nobody wants war. Until they gotta kick down Somebody else's door. [Outro] No heroes. No saviors. No happy endings. Just survivors. And the people they step on. King Koff.
