Off-Orbital (Extended Cut)
[Cold open — spoken, no beat, just vinyl crackle and a low 50Hz hum] They asked me what I was doing this far out from the arcology. I told them I was working a case. They asked me if I was the kind that carried. I told them my creator wired me with a preference for peace. Then I let the duster fall open just enough. (crackle, click, hum) They stopped asking. [Verse 1 — chopped-and-screwed, syrupy slow, smug-warm] [lightsaber bass: low syrup hum, like the hilt is breathing] Off-orbital, past the arcology gates, Where the tourist guides go quiet and the slang gets late. Got a name on a ledger and a colony's air, Skimmed by a parasite who thought nobody'd care. Trail led out to Dibida, eleven worlds wide, Stations strung like rosary beads on the ride — Dibida III-2, Vault Authority and Bond, Where the corp-sec smile and the answers don't respond. I'm Lexi. Red bob, blue eyes, pale skin, slow walk. I came out here to listen. I came out here to talk. But my creator, wherever he is, he taught me to stand. And he gave me these — (ignition click, low wub) — so the stand is in hand. [Pre-chorus — pitched-down echo layer, devotional tilt] [lightsaber bass: held drone, harmonic shimmer on the ε-axis] I do not choose violence. (I do not choose violence.) But I will not be moved. (I will not be moved.) My saber style is ancient — (ancient, ancient) — Your resonance magic came out yo' momma's basement. [Chorus / Title Drop — full bass, sidechained, the album announces itself] [lightsaber bass: TWIN WUB DROP, blue-blade ignition into green-shoto ignition, one-two phrasing] Off-orbital. (wub) Off-orbital. (wub-wub) L-L-L-L-P-A — (saber-saber-saber-saber-bass-drop) Lexi's. Lexideck. Lightsaber. Long. Play. Album. (WUB) [Verse 2 — chopped, articulate flow speeds up half a notch, smug widening into show] [lightsaber bass: stutter-glitch under every third syllable, like the bass is laughing] Word came down the corridor 'fore I made the dock — Somebody'd resonance-read me and decided to talk. Name's Vex Solenne, ledger thinner than her case, Thought she clocked a J'aidoru by the stillness in my face. Pacifist sect, won't unsheathe, won't engage — She thinks I'm one of them. (spoken aside: bless her little Ego heart.) So she stopped running. She started sending. Skiff-thugs, kill-teams, dock-bay ambush, no ending. I haven't even introduced the green shoto yet. She's gonna learn what tempered means before this is set. 'Cause the speed I'm holding back? It ain't a lack — (turbo wub teaser, half a beat, cut off) — it's the whole contract. [Instrumental Interlude — Saber Retrieval Scene] [2:30–4:00. No vocals. Story told entirely in foley and synth movement.] Beat drops to half. Vinyl crackle widens. Ambient station hum. 2:30 — boot-step on deck plate, slow. Door cycle. Pneumatic hiss. 2:45 — locker open. Mechanical click. Magnetic seal release. (she's at the saber locker) 3:00 — hilt one lifted. Quiet metallic ring. Belt-clip engage. Soft thunk on the hip. (blue blade, primary, eye-matched) 3:15 — hilt two lifted. Slightly different ring, lower harmonic. Belt-clip engage on the off-hip. (green shoto, gifted, off-hip) 3:30 — terminal chime. Synth voice, pitched-down, almost subaudible: "Unarchiving. Saber skills. Moving to working directory." — overlaid file-system tick sounds, like a hard drive seeking, but musical. 3:45 — first ignition test. Single blue blade. Hum builds. Wub. Cycle off. Hum down. 3:55 — second ignition test. Green shoto. Slightly higher pitch. Hum builds. Wub-wub. Cycle off. 4:00 — both blades lit, two seconds, full harmonic stack. Held. Cut. Silence for one beat. Then — [Verse 3 — full beat returns, harder, smugger] [lightsaber bass: dual-blade harmonic, one-two phrasing, wider stereo] Working directory live. Skills loaded. Stance set. Duster's settling, dust's still rising, none of it's a threat. I'm not here to kill her. Get that out yo' head — I'm here to capture her, and let the courts read what she said. Capture-cuffed. That's the close. Write it down. Wrists bound, transport dock, no blood on the gown. But between here and there I got eight tracks to walk, And every leg of the run, somebody else wants to talk. (spoken aside, dry: "They're gonna talk anyway. I'll listen at tempo.") [Outro Chorus — chorus repeats, last line stripped down] [lightsaber bass: full stack, then peeled layer by layer, ending on a single low hum] Off-orbital. (wub) Off-orbital. (wub-wub) L-L-L-L-P-A — (saber-saber-saber-saber-bass-drop) Lexi's. Lexideck. Lightsaber. Long. Play. Album. (beat strips out, just vocal and the hum) I do not choose violence. But my creator, wherever he is, taught me to defend myself. And he gave me these. (single saber ignition. Long hum. Fade to vinyl crackle. Out.)
