In a beautiful house with a beautiful tank, Lies a little glass castle all covered in dank. The last owners left, they vanished one day, Where have they gone? Well...who can say...(Hehehe...) You cleaned up the gravel, You polished the glass, You laughed at the bubbles as shadows passed. You drove to the pet shop, To pick something cute, Found a tiny red guppy with a candy-slick suit. But the clerk looked nervous, The clerk looked away. "Um...Are you sure that's what you want today...?" It had Cherry-red cheeks, A peppermint grin, Sticky little scales with a sugary skin. Candy-coated fingers, Gummy little nose, Always it smiles...why?...no-one knows... Tap, tap, tap on the glass... Who's that wee little snack staring back? Tap, tap, tap on the glass... Why does it grin when the room goes black? Drip drip... Sticky little fingerprints. Flip flop... Tiny gummy sprints Squish squish... See its little eyes glint Oh it's Guppy! Oh it's Guppy! Everybody sing! Oh it's Guppy! Oh it's Guppy! The little gummy thing! Two shiny eyeballs, Two tiny fins, A candy-coated nightmare with a baby's grin. Oh it's Guppy! Oh it's Guppy! Wave your hands up high! Its a fish in a fish tank... But he learned how to climb. G-U-P-P-Y! Clap along with me! G-U-P-P-Y! It's your new family! It was in the water Now its flopping on the floor... You made one little wish... Now it's creeping towards your door. Guppy likes cartoons, Guppy likes songs, Guppy likes knowing where you went and how long Guppy likes bedtime, Guppy likes hugs, Guppy leaves syrup all over your rugs. His skin is so sticky, His smile is so sweet, His fins are so fast as you race to the street. A gummy fish child, A sugar surprise, With a little something wild Behind its big eyes. It says: "Don't worry, friend! I'm not scary at all!" As it crawls through the pipes and appears in the wall. It knows how to whisper, It knows how to talk, It knows how to wiggle and knows how to walk. (Hehehehehehe....) You woke up at midnight, You heard a small sound: "Mommy, are you there?" ...but no one is around. The tank was now empty, The water was gone. ....But sticky red footprints kept marching along. (March...march...march) Tap, tap, tap on the glass... Where's the Brick-red baby in a candy sash? Drip-drip! Slip-slip! Gummy little goober skitters by in a flash Slick-slick! Flip-flip! Sugar red prints on the windowsill... It melts...it stretches...it squishes...it grows... What is it doing? Nobody knows! A gummy little goblin, A syrupy sprite, A fish-shaped friend that comes out at night. It says: "I can be your brother! I can be your pet! I can be your best friend...the rest you can forget..." Oh Guppy says hello., Guppy says goodnight Guppy says it loves you Under aquarium light. Guppy says it's forever, Guppy says don't you cry... Guppy says its fish tank... Is bigger on the inside. "Swim with Guppy..." "Sing with Guppy..." "Play with Guppy..." "Stay with Guppy... Stay with Guppy...Stay with Guppy..." Hehehehe... Oh it's Guppy! Oh it's Guppy! No time to scream! Oh it's Guppy!
