[Verse] Beneath the shadow of that wood so strong A door was carved where we belong Fix your eyes on the one who endured the shame Through His sacrifice our healing came [Chorus] Step through the cross see your heart renew The price was paid for me and you Faith calls us now to His embrace Restored through God's amazing grace [Verse 2] Despising the shame He bore it all For the joy ahead He faced the fall Our path to mercy our bridge to light Through the cross we walk from night to bright [Chorus] Step through the cross see your heart renew The price was paid for me and you Faith calls us now to His embrace Restored through God's amazing grace [Bridge] The author the finisher of our faith He calls us by name to take this place Despise not storms for joy will reign Through Christ's cross we share His gain [Chorus] Step through the cross see your heart renew The price was paid for me and you Faith calls us now to His embrace Restored through God's amazing grace
