Odin's Calling (Viking Saga 2)

The night folds around me, and the sea forgets my name. .... something ancient calls. Two shadows break the moonlight, .... Muninn drifts through my thoughts. They land upon the prow, eyes burning like cold chill, and whisper of a message carried from the Allfather’s will. They tell me to follow, .... and the sky opens like a mind. I walk the path of ravens, .... In the silence of the storm, the gods remember every oath. The world bends and shivers, the sea becomes a road of smoke. .... Mountains rise like giants, the stars hum in their sleep— and every breath I take feels carved from something deep. Then the mist breaks open, and a figure stands alone. One eye burning like a sunrise, one eye lost to the unknown. .... “Your fate is carved in thunder, your blood is built for quests.” He lifts his spear toward the sky, .... I feel my spirit burn, .... proud and fierce as iron. I walk the path of ravens, .... Let the gods ignite my spirit, ... If the Allfather marks my journey, I will rise from sea and stone— .... never sails the world alone. .... but their message stays.
