[Verse 1] The blueprint sleeps beneath the dust While morning climbs the cooling glass You draw a door where none was planned Then watch tomorrow take your hand [Pre-Chorus] You call it strange, you call it new A distant shape coming into view The map keeps changing as we move The future starts with what we choose [Chorus] Weird is just a vision of the future to come A thought out of step till the whole world runs Hold that bright question, don't let it come undone Weird is just a vision of the future to come [Verse 2] A little code in a paper cup A sound no one can name just yet You keep the sketch you almost tossed Some later hands will call it home [Pre-Chorus] You call it strange, you call it new A distant shape coming into view The map keeps changing as we move The future starts with what we choose [Chorus] Weird is just a vision of the future to come A thought out of step till the whole world runs Hold that bright question, don't let it come undone Weird is just a vision of the future to come [Bridge] When the old rules fit too tight Leave a margin, leave a line Every odd idea you keep Plants a seed beyond our sight [Final Chorus] Weird is just a vision of the future to come A thought out of step till the whole world runs Hold that bright question, don't let it come undone Weird is just a vision of the future to come Weird is just a vision, just a vision to come
