Old man Joe still skanks in the square Says he met his wife at a rude boy fair Kids on the corner play horns from school Mixing old and new like it’s rudeboy rule Crowds are jumping, spirits high Snare rolls crack like a battle cry From Kingston roots to Camden Town We’re dancing ‘til the sun goes down Ska never dies, it just hides in disguise From Brixton to Tokyo, it’s still on the rise Put on your braces, don’t act surprised Once that rhythm hits you – ska never dies! (“Oi! Oi! Never dies!”) Oi! Oi! Sound the brass parade Oi! Oi! Rude boys never fade Oi! Oi! We don’t compromise Throw on your hat and skank with pride Ska never dies, it just hides in disguise (“Never dies!”) From Brixton to Tokyo, it’s still on the rise (“Tokyo rise!”) Put on your braces, don’t act surprised (“Act surprised!”) Once that rhythm hits you – SKA! Oi, you! Yeah you with the frown This ain’t the blues, mate, we run this town Two-tone, brass and a beat so wise Remember this one thing: Ska never dies!
