* Florida Bound * (Verse 1) Well I rolled into Texas with the sunshine on my boots Heard about this girl still stuck on some cowboy’s roots That old “Choosin’ Texas” song was playin’ on the radio But she looked at me and smiled like she already knew the show (Pre-Chorus) I said “Darlin’, pack your bags, leave the Lonestar in the dust I got palm trees, ocean breeze, and a heart you can trust” (Chorus) Texas, move over, there’s a new guy in town Ain’t no yellow rose holdin’ this girl down She was choosin’ Texas, but that chapter’s closed now Now she ain’t choosin’ Texas… she’s Florida bound Yeah she’s Florida bound (Verse 2) Took her dancin’ under neon, then we drove until the dawn Talked about the Gulf Coast while that Texas sky looked on I said take that sleazy tablecloth that almost bares it all She’s goin’ back to denim like a real country queen, y’all (Pre-Chorus) She said “Baby, let’s get gone, I been waitin’ for a sign This Lone Star state’s too slow for a heart that’s feelin’ mine” (Chorus) Texas, move over, there’s a new guy in town Ain’t no yellow rose holdin’ this girl down She was choosin’ Texas, but that chapter’s closed now Now she ain’t choosin’ Texas… she’s Florida bound Yeah she’s Florida bound (Bridge) Sorry boys in boots and trucks, your song just lost the fight She’s tradin’ in those cattle trails for sunshine every night Wave goodbye to Austin, say so long to San Antone This Florida boy just stole the girl and took her all the way home (Final Chorus) Texas, move over, there’s a new guy in town Ain’t no yellow rose holdin’ this girl down She was choosin’ Texas, but that chapter’s closed now Now she ain’t choosin’ Texas… she’s Florida bound Yeah, she’s Florida bound She’s Florida bound…
