[Intro] Wind! Wind! (Yeah!) Finally headwind! (Oh-oh-oh!) [Verse 1] It hits me from the front, it pushes, pulls, it wants me turned around, But my collar's up, my feet are set, I'm standing on my ground. Planes take off against the wind, and kites rise only so, What comes at me from the front lifts me up – so let's go! [Pre-Chorus] Everybody says: "Oh no, what a wind!" – I say: "Oh yeah!" Hands up high, the lift is here! [Chorus] Finally headwind – oh-oh-oh! Finally headwind – I take off, whoa-oh! What tries to slow me down will carry me if I stand, Finally headwind – I take off from this land! [Post-Chorus] Wind, wind! (Yeah, yeah!) Wind, wind! (Up, up!) Wind, wind! (Yeah, yeah!) Finally headwind! [Verse 2] Tailwind feels nice, but it never made me strong, Any branch can float downstream – against it, you belong. Every headwind I've survived is in the way I walk today, And when the next one comes I'll say: Come on, you're coming my way. [Chorus] Finally headwind – oh-oh-oh! Finally headwind – I take off, whoa-oh! What tries to slow me down will carry me if I stand, Finally headwind – I take off from this land! [Breakdown] Who stands firm? – I stand firm! Who takes off? – I take off! Who wants the wind? – I want the wind! Let's go – collar up! Wind! Wind! Wind! Wind! [Bridge] It's not against you, it's for you – the wind is just a test, It asks you: Do you stand, or do you let go of the rest? Get up, lean right in, the sky is waiting there, It's headwind – and you're taking off, I swear! [Chorus] Finally headwind – oh-oh-oh! Finally headwind – I take off, whoa-oh! What tries to slow me down will carry me if I stand, Finally headwind – I take off from this land! [Outro] Wind, wind! (Yeah, yeah!) Wind, wind! (Up, up!) Finally headwind! (Oh-oh-oh!) Finally headwind!
