(Spoken intro, soft and reverent) Stop defending yourself against Source, There is nothing to fight, Nothing to win, Only God — always God. (Verse 1) Every face is the face of the Holy, Every hand the hand that made the stars. Even when the world is burning, Even when you fall apart — It’s still the breath of God moving through your form. (Chorus) Lay down the shield, lay down the sword, Stand unguarded before the Light. There is no enemy, there is no war, Only love — shining bright. (Verse 2) You tried to hold back the infinite tide, But the tide was you all along. Every moment — breaking, healing — Was the same eternal song. (Bridge) Alignment isn’t made, it’s revealed, When you stop carving the holy in two. There’s no higher call than surrender, To let the light move through you. (Final Chorus) Lay down the shield, lay down the sword, Stand undefended before the Light. There is no battle, no divide, Only God — on every side. (Outro, whispered) Cease resisting. Cease managing. Be still. God is.
