Antonin and Aldous meet in their New World

Antonín Dvořák (speak as Dvorschak) composed From the New World in 1894, and later Aldous Huxley wrote Brave New World — so I mixed the two up. And why does it sound like Disney? Well, Disney also took inspiration from Dvořák’s From the New World — his Ninth Symphony — for Pocahontas. [Verse 1] They made me for the life I lead, and taught me where to stand. They gave me friends before I knew that friendship could be planned. We never ask where we came from, or who our mothers were. The old words sound so strange to us — we have no use for them. [Chorus] And every day is beautiful, and everyone is free. There is no need to wish for more when everything we need is here. [Verse 2] They taught us how to love the world, and never love one more. We share our days with everyone and never close a door. When someone feels unhappy, we know just what to do. A little sleep, a little dream, and everything feels new. [Chorus] And every day is beautiful, and everyone is free. There is no need to wish for more when everything we need is here. [Verse 3] I asked an old man once about the things that came before. He smiled and said, “Why trouble yourself? Those things are needed no more.” They say that pain is gone from us, that sorrow has no place. I only wonder why, sometimes, I dream of a forgotten face. [Bridge] They tell me I am happy. I know that I am. So why, when no one watches, do I want to understand? [Final Chorus] And every day is beautiful, and everyone is free. There is no need to wish for more when everything we need is here.
