Rahab, Be Restored

V6-MINI

[Rahabs, Be Restored! Part One Movement I — The Scarlet Choice, Spoken deep male voice narration; quiet, gathering intensity] Within the city of palms, behind the walls of Jericho, a woman heard— and recognized the power of Almighty God. Rahab. Known by her past. Yet standing at the threshold of a future she could scarcely see. She sheltered the servants of the Most High, defied the command of her earthly king, and placed her life within the hands of Heaven. One choice. One scarlet cord. One window opening toward mercy. She turned from the kingdom of darkness toward the kingdom of light. [Rahab’s altogether spoken voice] Let the king demand my answer. Let the city bar its gates. I have heard what God has done; I will entrust to Him my fate. What are these walls beside His power? What is this throne beside His reign? If mercy bids me leave my former life, I will not bind myself to shame. [Refrain, Sung; lead and chorus] Rahabs, be restored! Lift your heads and hear Him calling. There is mercy in His name; there is life beyond these walls. Rahabs, be restored! Let the scarlet promise speak. Bring your household into shelter; trust the refuge that you seek. [Movement II — The Great Exchange, Spoken deep male narration; tender, deliberate] Here, let the captive bride become our picture: her former glory shorn away, her old life slipping from her shoulders, her future waiting to be named. What seemed the ending of her story became the place where grace began. Honor. Identity. Belonging. Fruitfulness. A destiny fulfilled. These are treasures no coin can purchase— the gifts of fearing the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. And Rahab, once known by the life she had lived, was welcomed into a people, grafted into the family line through which Yeshua came. [Rahab’s alto sung voice] Remove these garments of my shame. Clothe me in the honor of Your name. Let lesser glory fall away; I choose the glory of my King. Circumcise this heart within. Write Your precious Law upon it. Place a new spirit deep inside— a heart surrendered, wholly Yours. Jehovah Tsidkenu, LORD of Righteousness, teach this heart to worship You. My past shall not command my future. The God I worship shapes my way. Father, grant this DIVINE RESET; turn the course of all my days. [Sung 4 part harmony SATB chorus; building] From the garments of BABYLON’S WHORE to the honor of a holy bride— received beneath the King’s own banner, with a place within His house. Rahabs, be restored! Lift your heads; receive His mercy. Let the life He gives you bear the beauty of His name. [Movement III — The March and the Silence. Spoken deep male voice narration; a measured marching rhythm begins] Thick were the walls of self-protection. High were the stones that guarded fear. But stone could never offer what obedience would bring. The ARMY OF THE DAWN approached, each footfall answering His command. No scattered steps. No striving voices. Together, under Jehovah Sabaoth, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. Their silence was deafening. The hardened stones seemed to tremble beneath the cadence of their feet. Day after day, they walked the word that God had spoken. And on the seventh day— [The marching stops. Silence with a pregnant pause] The shofar rose to consecrated lips. Breath received from God became a sound of obedience, released at His command. [Shofar blast; then a rising chorus] Let the walls that shelter bondage fall! Let the promised mercy stand! Gather every waiting household; bring them safely through the ruins. Rahabs, be restored! Step into the morning. The walls have fallen; mercy calls you forth. [Closing Refrain, Full choir; triumphant, then gently settling] Rahabs, be restored! Leave the garments of your shame. You are welcomed to His household; lift your head and bear His name. One choice. One scarlet cord. One life the LORD restored. [Spoken deep male voice; quiet and expectant] And from the ruins, the redeemed arise.
