V5.5

(Verse 1)
Way up on a hillside in the morning sun,
All the little rocks were having rolling fun.
Round ones, smooth ones, racing to the ground,
Laughing as they tumbled with a rumbling sound.
But Ricky sat quiet on the top of the hill,
Watching all his buddies while he stood perfectly still.
He had one flat side that kept him from the ride,
And every time he tried, he just tipped to one side.
(Pre-Chorus)
He said,
"I want to go where all my friends have gone,
But no matter how I try, I can't roll along."
(Chorus)
Roll on, Ricky, roll on,
Everybody's singing your song.
You may not move like the rest of the crowd,
But your friends are gonna help you out.
Roll on, Ricky, roll on,
We've been cheering all along.
Sometimes the road takes a different turn,
But together there's a way to learn.
(Verse 2)
The pebbles scratched their surfaces, thinking all day long,
Trying every little trick, but something still felt wrong.
A ladybug came walking with a twinkle in her eye,
Said, "The answer isn't quitting—let's give it one more try."
They pushed and they pulled and they laughed through the fails,
Slid him over grass and tiny winding trails.
Though the hill seemed steeper with every passing hour,
Nobody was giving up on friendship's power.
(Pre-Chorus)
They said,
"We don't leave a friend behind today,
We'll keep on trying till we find a way."
(Chorus)
Roll on, Ricky, roll on,
Everybody's singing your song.
You may not move like the rest of the crowd,
But your friends are gonna help you out.
Roll on, Ricky, roll on,
We've been cheering all along.
Sometimes the road takes a different turn,
But together there's a way to learn.
(Instrumental Jam)
(Harmonica, piano, and twin guitar leads trading melodies as the rocks gather around Ricky. Crowd chants: "Roll on! Roll on! Roll on!")
(Bridge)
Sometimes life gives you a flat side,
Makes you feel like you can't join the ride.
But every heart has a place to belong,
And every difference can make us strong.
What seems impossible today,
May be tomorrow's brighter way.
When hands and hearts all work as one,
That's when the biggest hills are won.
(Final Chorus)
Roll on, Ricky, roll on,
Now you're finally rolling strong!
Down the hill beneath the sky so blue,
With every single friend beside you.
Roll on, Ricky, roll on,
Hear the whole world sing along!
What made you different made you shine,
And brought your friends together in time.
(Children's Choir Outro)
Thank you, Ricky, for showing us how,
You don't have to be perfect now.
With a little help and a little faith,
Every heart can find its place.
Roll on, Ricky, roll on!
Roll on, Ricky, roll on!
Roll on, Ricky, roll on!
(Crowd chanting fades into the distance)
"Roll on..."
"Roll on..."
"Roll on, Ricky..."
