[Title: ONE HOUR] [Verse 1] The night was heavy in Gethsemane. The hour of darkness drawing near. The Son of man was sorrowful, Yet still His prayer was clear. He came and found them sleeping. The flesh had lost its power. "What, could ye not watch with me one hour?" [Chorus] ONE HOUR. Could ye not watch with Me ONE HOUR? While the whole world sleeps, the clock keeps moving. ONE HOUR. Kings shall rise, kingdoms devour— But everything man built without God can fall IN ONE HOUR. [Verse 2] Ten kings receive no kingdom yet, But Scripture tells their fate: They "receive power as kings one hour with the beast." "These have one mind," Their power and strength they bring. "They shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings." [Chorus] ONE HOUR. Could ye not watch with Me ONE HOUR? The beast gets kingdoms. Babylon gets riches. But neither gets forever. ONE HOUR. "And they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful." ONE HOUR cannot overthrow THE LAMB. [Verse 3] She said within her heart, "I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow." Merchants stood afar off. Kings looked upon the smoke. All that seemed untouchable— all that men had trusted— BROKE. "For in one hour so great riches is come to nought." "For in one hour is she made desolate." "For in one hour is thy judgment come." [Breakdown] ONE HOUR WITH THE BEAST. ONE HOUR. ONE HOUR OF JUDGMENT. ONE HOUR. RICHES COME TO NOUGHT. ONE HOUR. The kingdoms of men are weighed by God. ONE. HOUR. [Bridge] But wait— One hour is not eternity. Babylon falls. The beast is overcome. The Lamb remains. Jesus Christ does not receive a kingdom for one hour. "Of his kingdom there shall be no end." So watch. Stand. Believe. For the kingdoms rise and the kingdoms fall— BUT THE LORD FAINTETH NOT. [Finale] "Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?" The watchers may grow tired. The young men may utterly fall. The night may feel long. The hour may grow dark. BUT— "They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." ONE HOUR WILL PASS. THE KINGDOMS WILL PASS. THE DARKNESS WILL PASS. But they that wait upon the LORD— SHALL MOUNT UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES.
