GRE NGERD'ART [Deep Throat Chant — distant, ritualistic] Hrrrraaa—ohhh… Grenn… gerrr… d’Art… Hrrrraaa—ohhh… Rise… rise… rise… [Verse I — Shaman, low throat voice] Before the iron banners flew, Before the old red rivers grew, There walked a mage through ash and flame, And death itself had learned his name. He raised his staff above the slain, He called them back through blood and rain, Where men had cheered, “The field is won,” The fallen marched beneath the sun. [Low Bass Choir] Grengerd'Art! Keeper of the breath! Grengerd'Art! He who cheated death! One host falls — One host returns! From broken bones The warfire burns! [Throat Chant / Instrumental] Hrrr—aaah… drah… drah… Gor-rum… Grengerd… Grengerd'Art… Hrrr—aaah… No grave. No end. [Verse II — Shaman] A hundred shields were split apart, Then rose again by Grengerd's art. The trolls would roar, the goblins cry, “For us, no warrior has to die!” The humans counted every kill, Yet heard the same old warhorn still. The same green faces crossed the hill, The same dead hands were fighting still. [Bass Choir — heavier] He broke the law! He broke the chain! He called the fallen back again! Stone may crack! And steel may bend! But Grengerd'Art Denied the end! [Verse III — darker, slower] But men had learned what swords could not. They forged one arrow, black and hot. No common poison stained its head— It killed the magic, not the flesh. It struck his chest beneath the moon. His power vanished all too soon. The healing light would not obey. His ancient gift was torn away. [Whispered Throat Voice] Magical Breakdown… Silence the blood… Silence the staff… Silence the god… [Low Choir — mournful] No flame answered. No rune burned. No fallen master Could be returned. No hand to raise him. No spell to start. And death at last Reached Grengerd'Art. [Bridge — Shaman, almost spoken] He did not beg. He did not crawl. He watched his warriors through it all. His fingers closed around the stone. His final breath was not his own. He gave it back To every name That marched beside him Through the flame. [Massive Bass Choir] GRENG ERD'ART! The grave remembers! GRENG ERD'ART! The old fire embers! Mage of the fallen! Father of war! The gates of death He broke before! [Throat Chant + Choir together] Hrrrraaa—ohhh… Rise again! Hrrrraaa—ohhh… Rise again! Grenn… gerrr… d’Art… Rise again! [Final Verse — solemn] Two hundred winters, legends grow. The youngest goblins still shall know: When death once ruled the battlefield, There lived one mage who would not yield. And though an arrow stopped his heart, No arrow buried Grengerd'Art. [Final Bass Choir — very slow] The mage is gone. The name remains. The hand is cold. The fire remains. Grengerd'Art… Grengerd'Art… Death won once. Only once.
