[Intro – spoken tone, minimal piano] In the beginning, there was water. And a man. And an overwhelming sense of “fuck it.” [Verse 1 – pathetic epic] He returns from work, heroic not, his spine collapsing on the spot. A knight of spreadsheets, slain and tired, whose dreams of glory long expired. He saw a girl upon the train— a spark of warmth, then gone again. She vanished like his will to live, leaving nothing left to give. [Verse 2 – entrance to the “holy” shower] He steps inside the bathroom shrine, tiles cracked like fate’s design. He twists the tap— (sfx: warm steam rising) and something in him starts to shine. Behold: A naked hero stands alone, armed only with a towel and hope so small it barely counts as hope at all. [Pre-Chorus – foam fantasies] He soaps his hands with trembling grace, imagines her celestial face, and when the bubbles start to climb (background vocals: dramatic rising chant) he’s lost in fantasy and time. [Chorus – absurdly dramatic] Under the water, under the heat, visions drowning every beat. Foam is rising, breath is tight— he’s losing battles he can’t fight. His pulse explodes in steamy light, the dream is burning far too bright— and then it hits, the final spark— (instrumental: single timpani hit) and everything falls into dark. [Verse 3 – post-coital pathetic crash] Silence lands like judgment day, the water chills his skin to clay. The bulb above begins to fade (sfx: flicker) like even it feels quite betrayed. The fantasy slips down the drain, leaving nothing but the same empty tiles and trembling knees, and shame that clings like old debris. [Bridge – tragic but comedic] He sinks down slowly, tile by tile, a soggy figure, soaked and vile. He whispers “shit…” into the air, as foam retreats in deep despair. His brain begins its usual spin: “Why am I always stuck with me again?” Maybe life would be much kinder if he simply— … …downloaded Tinder. [Outro – whimsical python energy] He shuts the tap, the steam escapes, like tiny sad celestial shapes. He grabs a towel, drops a sigh, and meets his reflection eye to eye. It gives up first. He walks away, still dripping with his tragic day. This is the tale of a lonely man— not glorious, not profound, but human, wet, and doing the best he fucking can.
