will you come back for Christmas

Verse 1 The snow is falling, lights aglow, But something's missing, don't you know? The tree is up, the fire’s warm, Yet I’m waiting in the storm. Pre-Chorus Silent nights don't feel the same, Without your voice calling my name. Every sound, every light, Feels empty tonight. Chorus Will you come back for Christmas? Bring back the joy, bring back the cheer, Wrap up the love we hold dear. Will you come back, will you come back, my dear? Verse 2 The stockings hung by candlelight, Waiting for you on Christmas night. Memories dance in every room, But they can’t chase away the gloom. Pre-Chorus Stars above don’t shine as bright, Without your hand to hold me tight. This season’s cold without you near, I need you here. Chorus Will you come back for Christmas? Bring back the laughter and the song, This is where you still belong. Will you come back, will you come back where you belong? Bridge I’ve got all I could ask for, all I could need, But none of it matters if you’re not with me. One gift I wish for, as skies turn to gray, That you’d come home for Christmas Day. Chorus Will you come back for Christmas? Bring back the warmth, the love, the cheer, Just say you’ll be here this year. Will you come back, will you come back, my dear? Outro The clock strikes twelve, the night is still, But I’m holding on with all my will. Will you come back for Christmas, please? Or is this just a dream in the winter breeze?
