The Ground Held Me | Self-Trust Embodied
I thought I’d fall the way I used to Fast and without a line But something in me stayed still And chose to take its time She looks at me like I’m enough Like I don’t need to prove And I don’t know what to do with that So I just let it move There’s no rush inside my chest No need to force the next step I didn’t fall this time I stayed right where I stand And somehow that feels better Than reaching for her hand I didn’t fall this time I let it come to me And maybe that’s the difference Between attachment and being free I used to chase the feeling Like it meant I was alive But now I see the quiet Is where something real arrives There’s no need to name it yet No need to make it known I’m finally okay with Letting something grow slow Maybe this is what it is When I don’t abandon me I didn’t fall this time I stood inside my space And everything that’s meant for me Will meet me face to face I didn’t fall this time I finally understand The love I tried to run toward Is the one that’s in my hands
