[fast male hypnotic Westcoast rap] Another year has transpired and I’m here sitting by the fire I got so much to admire But also mud from the mire That seems to be stuck to my shoes But now’s the time to sip on the warm hot chocolate mug and remember thoughts that keep me going through This world is spinning at a tilt and now it’s winter time Each day is like a patch on a blanket quilt and each minute is like a rhyme Composed into this song, but we ain’t using chat G P T because we’re trying to keep it fresh even though that makes the process longer Than it could, so for inspiration sometimes we need to take a stroll by the beach shore And when our feet meet waves, our mind’s book gets a little bigger and our fire inside can turn into a heat wave, missing the fear of life’s fright And at night you can see the reflection off beach waves that look like Christmas lights By and by Another set Keeps going For how long? Only Heaven knows the length The process to turn a rock to sand is longer than I can fathom Even if science can tell me I still have a hard time imagining The scale of it all every day As we rotate through space around the sun we also corkscrew around the Milky Way And somewhere up above there lies a higher power that has got love And I feel it inside of me And am reminded when I read a book that starts with a capital B Stories that keep gas in the tank As we are riding on a tilt on a super elevated bank On life’s road And this ain’t a ride from Disneyland like Mister Toad This is real Some of us are going through things like our whole body has been dipped in mud and not just our shoe soles Maybe their whole souls Gas is getting near empty so I’m here to try and help pour a little in until the morning gets us warmer and the sky gets clear Sipping more from my hot chocolate cup than hot milk and marshmallow fluff Every sorrow doesn’t go to waste When you are a child of God and got that faith It’s like we dug up a fossil from the past When we are reminded of faith we get from the past And we know our souls are going to last Longer than the waves are eroding the hard rocks that turned to fine dust Everlasting salvation in Christ through faith is a must It might seem like folly to believe in something we can’t see But I’d rather have that hope than hope in nothing Trusting in it is worth more to me than well anything really And like little snow flakes that represents a unique expression of God’s love manifested And a unique soul Floating through the spin and tilt of the earth in space but under clouds form within A unique character, every drop small as mist Falling down in our midst Giving us hope in our future and love for present. Somehow the frozen snow mixed with the view of the Christmas lights shimmering off the ocean to the decorations on the wooden pier brings water to my eyes in the form of tears Because when I look to the past through the lens of faith I see reasons to not have fear in the future And can be my true self in the present Finding the gift of God’s grace and love that cleaned my soul from stains of mud Another sip of warmth from my cup And I open my eyes to see my other gifts smiling back at me My family that I love and depends on me Snowflakes given to me And tonight I’ll tuck them into bed after reading stories underneath a quilt of blessings
