When troubles weigh heavy on your heart Dark clouds gather You feel far apart Look upward toward that steady light God's loving grace can make it bright Storms may rage and dark days grow His sheltering hand will hold you close Take refuge in His mighty care He sees you Heeds your every prayer You are sheltered in His grace In the glory of His love Every tear upon your face He has counted He has seen When the night feels far too long Still His mercy finds you there You are sheltered in His grace You are safe within His care When paths are unclear and fear surrounds Cling to the truth His word lays down He walks with you through valleys dim His faithful love will not grow thin When we stumble and fall short When the hope we had seems lost He lifts our eyes from all we’ve missed Back to the cross Back to His love Even in the silence He is speaking (oh) Even in the waiting He is near Every shaken prayer He’s softly keeping Holding every fragile Aching fear You are sheltered in His grace In the glory of His love Every tear upon your face He has counted He has seen When the night feels far too long Still His mercy finds you there You are sheltered in His grace You are safe within His care
