The trumpets signaling the fallen, The trumpets for ambush and pursuit, The trumpets when the enemy is defeated, And those that summon ranks anew. [Verse 2 — The Congregation] Upon the trumpets of assembly, The called of Elohim shall be named. Upon the trumpets of the leaders, The princes of Elohim proclaimed. Upon the trumpets of formation, The rule of Elohim declared. Upon the trumpets of renowned men, The heads of the fathers' clans. At the gathering in the meeting house, The testimonies of Elohim shall stand, For the congregation of His holiness, Their inscriptions written as commanded. [Chorus — Powerful male harmonies, brass and guitars] THE CALLED OF ELOHIM! THE PRINCES OF ELOHIM! THE RULE OF ELOHIM! THE TESTIMONIES OF ELOHIM! Upon the trumpets they shall write, According to their appointed service! Upon the trumpets they shall write, The declarations of Elohim! [Verse 3 — The Camps and Campaigns] Upon the trumpets of the camps, The peace of Elohim shall be written, Among the camps of His holy ones, His peace shall be declared. Upon the trumpets of campaigns, The mighty deeds of Elohim, To scatter enemies before them, To drive away the haters of justice. Withholding mercy from His haters, His judgments against the darkness, The divisions of Elohim arranged, To avenge His anger upon them. [Verse 4 — The Signals of War] Upon the trumpets calling infantry, When the gates of warfare open, A remembrance of His recompense, At the time appointed by Elohim. Upon the trumpets marking the fallen, His mighty hand in battle, Bringing down the unfaithful, Their faithlessness bringing destruction. Upon the trumpets made for ambush, The mysteries of Elohim, To wipe away all wickedness, The words appointed for the signal. [Bridge — Rolling snares and heavy guitar] Upon the trumpets made for pursuit, Elohim has struck the Sons of Darkness, His anger will not turn away, Until their forces meet destruction. Upon the trumpets of regrouping, Elohim has gathered His people. Upon the trumpets for returning, From battle into Jerusalem, Rejoicing before Elohim, A peaceful return proclaimed, The congregation enters in peace, The words upon the trumpets remain. [Verse 5 — The Great Standard] Now the rule of banners is given, For the congregation in its ranks, The great standard leads the people, Bearing the people of Elohim. Israel and Aaron shall be written, And the twelve tribes in birth order, The camps are arranged by three tribes, Their names upon the standards. [Verse 6 — The Spirit of Elohim] Upon the banners of three tribes, The Spirit of Elohim shall be written, And the names of those three tribes, According to their appointed division. Upon the banner of each tribe, The standard of Elohim shall be named, The leader of the tribe is written, With the clans beneath his command. [Verse 7 — The Commanders] The leader of the ten thousands, His name shall be recorded, The names of chiefs beneath him, According to their appointed ranks. The writing breaks among the banners, The ancient lines are incomplete. We leave the missing words unwritten, And preserve the words we still receive.
