What Do You Want To Be For Halloween?

STUDIO

Yeah… Halloween again... I already know what I’m wearing. Do you? Maybe... Used to plan my costume weeks before tonight, Plastic fangs and a cape, making sure it fit right. Pillowcase ready, sneakers tied up tight, Racing down the block before they turned on the lights. One year a pirate, next year a ghost, Always picked the costume that scared me the most. Cheap little mask with the string too tight, Could barely even see, but I wore it all night. Trading all my candy when we emptied the sack, Kept all the chocolate, gave the raisins right back. Funny how Halloween can make me feel ten, So tell me what you’re gonna dress up as again. Maybe a witch, maybe something unseen, You’d make anything work on Halloween. Maybe I’ll surprise you, just wait and see, Just tell me one thing...Mmm... spooky or sexy? What do you wanna be for Halloween? Something scary, something nobody’s seen? Maybe a vampire, maybe a meme, Maybe just somebody straight from a dream. Put on your costume, come walk with me, We’ll laugh at the houses that look so creepy. I don’t really care what you choose to be, Just come trick or treat tonight with me. Now we’re grown, but Halloween still feels right, Fake webs on the porch and skeletons out at night. Pumpkin on the steps with a crooked old grin, Kids yelling “trick or treat” before knocking again. You change costumes every second of the night, First you picked a vampire, now a ghost in white. You said maybe cowgirl, maybe some disguise, Then laughed when I guessed and you rolled your eyes. We could hit up a party or hand candy out, Watch old scary movies or just hang about, Doesn’t really matter what the night brings, Halloween reminds us of the little things. What if I show up and you can’t tell it’s me? I’ll know that laugh anywhere I see. What if my costume scares you away? Then I’ll wear something worse and call it even, okay? What do you wanna be for Halloween? Something scary, something nobody’s seen? Maybe a vampire, maybe a meme, Maybe just somebody straight from a dream. Put on your costume, come walk with me, We’ll laugh at the houses that look so creepy. I don’t really care what you choose to be, Just come trick or treat tonight with me. So… what are you gonna be? Haven’t decided yet. You had all month. I work better under pressure. Sure you do
