Bel and Dragon

[Verse 1] In the house of stone and gold, they called it holy, called it old. Bel stood tall with a painted grin, but the feast was hollow deep within. They laid out bread and a pitcher of wine, said, “See the god, the power, the sign.” But dust and hands told the secret plain, somebody’s hunger wore a holy name. [Pre-Chorus] Then Daniel smiled at the king that night, said, “Watch the shadows under the light.” Seven fresh voices, calm and true, show where the smoke and the cover-up move.
