In darkest deep, a soul did dwell, Bound by chains, a living hell, No light could pierce, no hope ignite, Lost in shadows, day and night. Then swift and sure, a sovereign hand, Reached down from high, fulfilled the plan, The Spirit breathed, a mighty gust, And shattered chains of sin and rust. A heart of stone, began to yield, A garden ripe, a fertile field, Regenerated, born anew, The soul awakened, strong and true. Repentance flowed, a cleansing stream, Washed clean a heart redeemed, Trust in Christ, a beacon bright, Guided onward, through the night. Not by works, nor strength of will, But by His grace, the heart stood still, Dependent now, on the Spirit's power, In every trial, in every hour. A heart of stone, began to yield, A garden ripe, a fertile field, Regenerated, born anew, The soul awakened, strong and true. No longer neutral, cold, and blind, Eternal life, a renewed mind, With Christ above, the guiding light, Living faith both day and night. The Spirit lives within the heart, Repentance deep, a brand new start, With Faith unwavering, bold, and strong, Forever sing redemption’s song.
