[Music begins to brighten. Add warm pads, distant choir/hum.] I now speak to my body. Body, you are not my enemy. You carried the pressure. You held the tension. You stored the grief. You tightened when I did not feel safe. You numbed when I did not know how to feel. You shook when truth came near. But tonight, I do not curse you. I thank you. You tried to keep me alive. Now we learn a better way. Breathe in. Hold. Release. I am safe enough to tell the truth. I'm strong enough to face what I find. I am humble enough to be corrected. I'm wise enough not to follow every feeling. I am loved enough to stop abusing myself.
