[Intro: clean electric guitar riff with chorus and delay, subtle atmospheric synth pad] [Verse 1] My head's a sieve, a leaky pail Memories slip and lose their trail Drifting off like yesterday Just another trace that washed away [Pre-Chorus] Now you're standing red hot mad Over a moment I forgot we had [Chorus] Oh I'm the forgetter, it's my trade you see I make the history vanish for you and me But I forgot to forget what you forgot Now you remember and it hits the spot (Yeah, it hits the spot) [Verse 2] A clean slate's best, a fresh new start No heavy baggage clinging to your heart I clear the air, I wipe the trace A memory eraser in a crowded space [Pre-Chorus] My own brain's a messy place Missed a detail, lost the trace [Chorus] Oh I'm the forgetter, it's my trade you see I make the history vanish for you and me But I forgot to forget what you forgot Now you remember and it hits the spot [Bridge] It was my job to erase your view To wipe the slate clean between me and you I cleared your mind but I lost my head Now I'm caught in the words we never said [Guitar Solo: melodic guitar solo, bluesy bends with stereo delay, building to emotional peak] [Final Chorus] Oh I'm the forgetter, it's my trade you see I make the history vanish for you and me But I forgot to forget what you forgot Now you remember and it hits the spot [Instrumental Outro: clean chorus guitar riff fading with subtle synth pad] [Hard Stop] [End]
