I hear the Lord’s voice in the thunder, Oh the powerful, majestic, booming, sounds, That shake the earth and leave us to wonder, How great and magnificent is our God! I hear the Lord’s voice in the roar, Of the towering, crashing, pulsing, waves, That shatter, then whisper and kiss the shore, How great and marvelous is our God! I hear the Lord’s voice in the rain, Oh the rushing, raging, pouring flood, That flows down the roof and window pane, How great and awesome is our God! I hear the Lord’s voice in the bells, Of the chapel nestled in the woods, That mortal voices join in praise to tell, How great and glorious is our God!
