[Verse 1] I know somebody who thought they would wake up in the morning But the Good Lord took them home without a warning There's no answer for it I know somebody who walked into that first day 20 years ago And just last week they sat him down and let him go Guess you never know [Chorus] But I know somebody who is close to those Who wonder why some doors are closed Who lifts the low and heals the brokenhearted I know somebody who the skies proclaim A God who sees and knows your name Who's working for your good and for His glory [Verse 2] I know somebody who's afraid of that appointment on the next day They felt some disappointment from that x-ray So they pray I know somebody whose future is depending on the verdict Hopin' what has passed will have a purpose That it'll be worth it [Chorus] But I know somebody who is close to those Who wonder why some doors are closed Who lifts the low and heals the brokenhearted I know somebody who the skies proclaim A God who sees and knows your name Who's working for your good and for His glory [Bridge] I know somebody I know somebody If you're lost and don't know the way If you're barely getting through the pain If you need a new start today I know somebody If you're all out of words to say If you don't know what to pray If you're ready for some change I know somebody [Breakdown] I know somebody who is close to those Who wonder why some doors are closed No drums, just mercy in the room A steady hand will carry you through I know somebody who the skies proclaim A God who sees and knows your name Hold on, hold on, He is working still [Final Chorus] I know somebody who is close to those Who wonder why some doors are closed Who lifts the low and heals the brokenhearted I know somebody who the skies proclaim A God who sees and knows your name Who's working for your good and for His glory If you want a better ending to your story I know somebody [Outro] I know somebody I know somebody
