Peaches

[Verse] Soft like sunrise on my hand A tender fruit I barely understand Juice drips slow It stains my skin Is this where we lose or begin [Chorus] Love is a peach So sweet so ripe Bite too hard It’s gone in one night Hold it too loose It falls from the tree Love is a peach It’s messy It’s free [Verse 2] Fuzz on my lips Like your whispered words A flavor sharp Sweeter than I’ve heard The pit is hard but it hides the seed Will it grow or just stay buried [Prechorus] It’s soft It’s wild A heart unfiled [Chorus] Love is a peach So sweet so ripe Bite too hard It’s gone in one night Hold it too loose It falls from the tree Love is a peach It’s messy It’s free [Bridge] The orchard is ours Let’s dance in the rows The sun on our backs Where anything grows Even if the season ends It’s worth the taste A peach once bitten Is never erased
