(Intro) (A mechanical, rhythmic chugging guitar riff starts, mimicking a tank tread. A high-pitched, whirring synth effect slides in like a chopper blade. Drums kick in with a punchy, mid-tempo 80s beat.) Verse 1 Ground-pounding metal, or a shadow from the sun Two ways to play it, but the war is never done I’m in the driver's seat, kicking up the dust You’re in the cockpit, in the rotors we trust Steel plated armor or the freedom of the sky We’re heading for the border where the tracers fly! Pre-Chorus Land and air, a double-headed snake How much damage can the syndicate take? Twin-engine thunder, heavy caliber heat We’re never gonna taste the bitter dust of defeat! Chorus Silk Worm! Tearing through the zone One on the wind, and one on the stone Silk Worm! Underneath the sun The war is over before it’s begun Jeep down low, Chopper up high Burning a hole in the desert sky!Silk Worm! Burning up the screen The greatest duo that the world has ever seen Jeep on the bottom, Chopper up high Write our names in fire on the midnight sky! Verse 2 Watch for the mines and the missiles in the dark Every single target is a glowing spark Jump the heavy craters while you provide the cover Searching for the boss, there is no other Power-up the cannon, let the vulcan spray We’re clearing out the valley for a brand new day! Jeep on the bottom, Chopper up high Write our names in fire on the midnight sky! Bridge (Music shifts to a fast, frantic tempo. Staccato guitar stabs like anti-aircraft fire.) Divide... and conquer! The dirt... and the clouds! The silence is over... The engines are loud! (A dueling guitar solo: one low and "gritty," the other high and "screaming," playing off each other.) Chorus Silk Worm! Tearing through the zone One on the wind, and one on the stone Silk Worm! Underneath the sun The war is over before it’s begun Jeep down low, Chopper up high Burning a hole in the desert sky!Silk Worm! Jeep on the bottom, Chopper up high Write our names in fire on the midnight sky! Outro Silk Worm! (Watch your six!) Silk Worm! (Level cleared!) Yeah, we’re moving out! (Final explosion sound effect followed by a 16-bit victory jingle)
