My God, I'm bowing low - English version

[Intro - instrumental, piano] [Verse 1] My God, I'm bowing low; here at your cross I pray for this, the deep salvation that you by grace bestow. My self-will crush completely, all selfishness drive out; O God, redeem me fully — be life within my life! [Chorus] Just like the deer for water I'm thirsting after you; with all the Spirit's fullness, O God, bless me anew! [Verse 2] O Jesus, hallow me, and draw me near to you; deep in my mind and spirit, O God, make me anew! Cleanse all my heart's deep places in your blood's crimson stream; unite me with you wholly, and fill me with yourself. [Chorus] Just like the deer for water I'm thirsting after you; with all the Spirit's fullness, O God, bless me anew! [Verse 3] There is no one but you who gives salvation free, and even heaven's empty if you I cannot see. Your gifts, however precious, mean nothing without you; for only you content me — just you alone will do. [Chorus] Just like the deer for water I'm thirsting after you; with all the Spirit's fullness, O God, bless me anew! [Verse 4] My Bridegroom, rich and fair, I am your love's reward; my heart's own deepest longing answers your fervent prayer. Upon your pierced side, Savior, I lean and cling to you; o, let me share your suffering and joy with only you! [Chorus] Just like the deer for water I'm thirsting after you; with all the Spirit's fullness, O God, bless me anew! [Outro - soft, slowing] O God, bless me anew!
