I spent most of my adult life trying not to be my parents. I did it to correct their mistakes. And then my kids told me- I didn't? I tried to explain- why I did things differently. I told them- what I believed. I'm just not sure- they heard the same story. Truth keeps turning. I keep learning. Everything I used to know. Now has nowhere else to go. I wonder if every generation... looks backwards with better eyesight... than it ever had looking forwards. I hope- they'll forgive us. It wasn't wrong when we made this. They'll re-wire the next generation. And call it progress. Truth keeps turning. I keep learning. Everything I used to know. Now has nowhere else to go.
