Legend of The Burning Stag Tavern (A T.I.V. Original Medieval Studio Remix)

[Verse 1] In the glen where the river bends A tavern stood Where nights would blend The Burning Stag Declared Its wooden sign Lit by laughter Ale and wine Oaken beams held stories vast But no beam can hold when fire comes at last. [Chorus] Oh The dragon came With scales of flame Kindled The Burning Stag it burned true to it's name Through smoke and ash Through roaring skies The song of the Stag shall never die [Verse 2] The barkeep swore with a trembling hand "Not a beast will drive us from this land." He raised his glass Defiance true But the air grew hot The shadows flew With a single roar The beast did strike And the night turned red as a soldier's pike [Prechorus] Chairs were flung The fiddles stilled Hearts were heavy But Courage filled [Chorus] Oh The dragon came With scales of flame The Burning Stag it burned true to its name Through smoke and ash Through roaring skies The song of the Stag shall never die [Bridge] A minstrel fled with a lute in tow Through the woods where the cold winds blow He sang of fire Of wrath untamed Of a tavern lost But a legend gained
