The Moon owes me 5 Dollars_ (The HIppie)

[Intro — bass clarinet and upright bass] The moon owes me five dollars. [Silence] This has gone on long enough. [Verse] I lent it cash in '09 Said it'd pay me back by spring Now it hangs outside my window Like it doesn't owe a thing [Chorus] Five dollars, moon You know what you did Don't hide behind a cloud Like some celestial kid Five dollars, moon I'm keeping this polite But you rise above my house Every single bloody night [Muted trumpet interlude] [Verse] Interest isn't even counted I've been reasonable so far Don't make me start collecting From every passing star [Chorus] Five dollars, moon You know what you did Don't hide behind a cloud Like some celestial kid [Bridge — piano only] This isn't about the money. [Silence] It's about respect. [Outro] The moon owes me five dollars. And tomorrow— [Silence] I'm calling Saturn.
