[title: THEY SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED] [Verse 1] Shame said I had to hide. Shame said, "Don't lift your face." Shame said the stain was mine and mercy had no place. Then I opened the Book— AND THE BOOK DID NOT AGREE. The Word did not say, "Carry it." The Word said— LOOK UNTO ME. [Pre-Chorus] They looked unto Him, and were lightened: AND THEIR FACES WERE NOT ASHAMED. [Chorus] WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH ON HIM SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED! Not maybe. Not later. SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED! Hope maketh not ashamed! There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION to them which are IN CHRIST JESUS! LAY IT DOWN! LIFT UP YOUR FACE! WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH ON HIM SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED! [Instrumental] [Verse 2] He is not ashamed to call them brethren. So why keep answering to a name He never gave? He endured the cross, DESPISING THE SHAME. Not obeying it. Not bowing to it. DESPISING THE SHAME. [Pre-Chorus] Fear not; FOR THOU SHALT NOT BE ASHAMED. And my people shall never be ashamed. [Long Instrumental] [Bridge] Shame has got a courtroom voice. Always accusing. Always naming. Always pointing to the past. But the Book says— WHO SHALL LAY ANY THING TO THE CHARGE OF GOD'S ELECT? IT IS GOD THAT JUSTIFIETH. WHO IS HE THAT CONDEMNETH? [Silence] IT IS CHRIST THAT DIED. YEA RATHER— THAT IS RISEN AGAIN! [Huge Instrumental Release] [Breakdown] Who endured the cross— DESPISING THE SHAME? JESUS! Who is not ashamed to call them brethren? JESUS! Who justifieth? GOD! Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [Silence] WHO? [Build] Lift up your face. [Final Chorus] WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH ON HIM SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED! I looked unto Him— AND MY FACE WAS LIGHTENED! Hope maketh not ashamed! NO CONDEMNATION IN CHRIST JESUS! NO HIDING! NO OLD VERDICT! LIFT UP YOUR FACE! THEY SHALL NOT— THEY SHALL NOT— THEY SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED! [Long Instrumental Outro] [Outro] The Book already settled it. Look unto Him. And be lightened. [Silence] JESUS IS THE LORD.
