Eyes Closed Tight

I see you there with your eyes closed tight Not looking at anything to block the light From slipping into your mind And down into your heart I wonder what is going on in there Whatever is happening Why do you go that way The dark night descending on you And you shut everything out Even me, when I reach for you You're nowhere to be found Silent as the sun at midnight Why do you go that way When you could open the doors And let the streaming rays shine through the waking day If I could feel into the depths Of the hidden corners of your soul What would I find when it comes time Would it make sense for me And how do you feel when I am here Can you show me what's inside Why do you go that way The dark night descending on you And you shut everything out Even me, when I reach for you You're nowhere to be found Silent as the sun at midnight Why do you go that way When you could open the doors And let the streaming rays shine through the waking day
