Raccoon in the Rain [THE RIVERS]

[Verse 1] Saw you by the deli bin Tiny mask and a plastic grin Little feet with a rainy coat Dragging off a grape in your throat You hop that fence like you owned the night Made the whole block lean and laugh at the sight One wet paw on the bread gone stale Two bright eyes in a twitchy tail [Chorus] And you never ask, you just take Then you bolt before the dawn can wake Cute little chaos in a socky parade You leave a mess and a legend made Raccoon in the rain Raccoon in the rain You wear the storm like a crown, babe Raccoon in the rain, raccoon in the rain Oh, raccoon in the rain, oh You still my heart and my snack tray Raccoon in the rain [Verse 2] Seen you on the corner can Balancing a fry in your paw like ham You tapped the lid then you made your move Like a massed up king with a busted groove Some folks shout, but I just stand still Watching you climb that trash can hill Every drop on your silver face Looks like trouble with better taste [Chorus] And you never ask, you just take Then you bolt before the dawn can wake Cute little chaos in a socky parade You leave a mess and a legend made Raccoon in the rain Raccoon in the rain You wear the storm like a crown, babe Raccoon in the rain, raccoon in the rain Oh, raccoon in the rain, oh You still my heart and my snack tray Raccoon in the rain [Bridge] Oh, and the gutter's flooded You come alive Little bandit on the run With the whole world to out-smile Oh, I should be mad But I just sing along When you vanish down the alley You're the best part of the dawn [Chorus] Ooh, raccoon in the rain Raccoon in the rain Uh, you wear the storm like a crown, babe Raccoon in the rain, raccoon in the rain Oh, raccoon in the rain, oh You still my heart and my snack tray Raccoon in the rain Oh, raccoon in the rain Oh, you little thief, oh Raccoon in the rain
