In Dreams, You’re Mine -Freddy’s Song (Alt Version)

[Intro]
[Mood: Yearning, Dark]
[Instrument: Atmospheric Synth Pad, Piano]
[Vocal: Whispered]
[distant, fragile]
Nancy...
They burned me
For what I was
Now I wait
Where dreams become
[Verse 1]
[Energy: Low, Building]
[Instrument: Piano, Synth Layers, Cello]
[Vocal: Tender, Vulnerable]
When you sleep, you find me there
Running through the spaces we share
Your father struck the match that changed my form
But you're the daughter of my storm
[softly, almost sung]
One, two, Freddy's coming for you
Three, four, can't lock your door
Five, six, there's no crucifix
Seven, eight, I'll always wait
[Pre-Chorus]
[Mood: Building]
[Instrument: Strings Enter]
They see a monster
Scarred and wrong
But you see through
To what I was
[Chorus]
[Energy: MEDIUM-HIGH]
[Instrument: Full Synths, Driving Bass, Drums, Strings]
[Vocal: Powerful Belt]
In my dreams, you're mine
Nancy, don't you see?
Every night you run from me
But running is our twisted dance
In my dreams, you're mine
Where I'm not this broken thing
Where your fear becomes connection
Nancy, stay with me
[Verse 2]
[Energy: More Urgent]
[Instrument: Piano, Drums, Bass, Cello]
[Vocal: Desperate]
I've known you since you were small
The only light in all this darkness
You make me feel something real
For the first time since the fire
[building intensity]
Nine, ten, you'll sleep again
One, two, I'll wait for you
Three, four, forever more
[Pre-Chorus]
[Vocal: Stronger]
You see the monster
I've become
But underneath
There's still someone
[Chorus]
[Energy: MAXIMUM]
[Vocal: Full Power]
In my dreams, you're mine!
Nancy, don't you see?
Every scream you give to me
Is music, communion, my release!
In my dreams, you're mine!
Where the broken can be whole!
Where destruction becomes love!
Nancy, you're mine!
[Bridge]
[Energy: Stripped, Building]
[Instrument: Solo Piano, Adding Layers]
[Vocal: Raw, Breaking]
[piano only]
I know what I am
A killer
But you make me feel
Almost human
[strings build]
When you look at me
There's recognition
You see who I was
Before they made me monstrous
[full band builds]
I can only love
The way a nightmare loves
By holding what it treasures
[Final Chorus]
[Energy: CATHARTIC]
[Vocal: Full Belt, Sustained Notes]
In my dreams, you're mine!
Forever, Nancy!
The only place I'm whole!
Where this damaged soul!
Can hold you close!
In my dreams, you're mine!
Where love and death collide!
In my dreams!
You're mine!
[Outro]
[Energy: Fading]
[Instrument: Synth Sustain, Piano]
[Vocal: Whispered]
[soft, broken]
But dreams end...
And you wake...
And I'm alone...
[whispered, fading]
Nancy...
In my dreams...
You're mine...
[fade to silence]
[End]
