[Verse 1] Snow on the work trucks Coffee in hand Bill’s in early Got a big day planned Clay’s got drawings spread across his desk Marking every wire Every test Eva answers phones Calendars in her head Three calls at once Color-coding red If the day gets crazy She keeps it in line Holds this whole place Every thread Every time [Chorus] It’s a Basic Electric Christmas Family name on every door From the office to the ladders That’s what all this light is for We got trust in every handshake And hearts in every switch we flip It’s a Basic Electric Christmas Yeah This glow is how we live [Verse 2] Brandy’s counting hours Laughs between the lines Making sure the checks hit right on time Ten boots in the snow Loading up the vans Field team humming Tools in their hands Wreath on the panel Tinsel on the gate Someone brought cookies Someone showed up late (again) But we bow our heads Say thanks for this crew Every breaker Every life we run power through [Chorus] [Bridge] Here’s to the late calls The long drives home To fixing dark houses where kids wait alone To Eva’s long lists To Brandy’s long nights To Clay and Bill keeping futures bright We’re more than the name on the side of a truck We’re stories We’re laughter We’re showing up [Chorus]
