[Verse] In the beginning was the Word of life A light shining in the endless night To all who believed He gave the right To be children of light in His sight [Verse 2] Born not of blood nor of human will But of God who holds us still In His love we're truly free A child of light is what we'll be [Chorus] We are the children of light Heart and soul shining bright Called by His grace out of the night In His love we find our might [Verse 3] Grace upon grace flows from His hand By His Word we understand Made new hearts His light would fill In His purpose we are thrilled [Bridge] Darkness can't consume His flame In His honor we proclaim Children of light we sing aloud As His glory breaks the cloud [Chorus] We are the children of light Heart and soul shining bright Called by His grace out of the night In His love we find our might
