Before the Sound (Jimy Bongiovi Mix)

[Verse] I saw your hand on the six-string Red light crossing the room No one there I recognized Still I knew the tune I told you once, then dropped it Let it disappear Some things don't get any clearer Just because they reappear [Chorus] Before the sound I knew the shape of it Before the room I knew where I'd stand You on the strings Me somewhere in it No prophecy Just something I'd seen [Verse] Could've been a trick of memory Could've been nothing at all I didn't need to chase it down Or hang it on the wall If someday it comes back around And everything looks the same We don't have to make it mean more We don't have to give it a name [Chorus] Before the sound I knew the shape of it Before the room I knew where I'd stand You on the strings Me somewhere in it No prophecy Just something I'd seen [Instrumental] [modal six-string passage] [Bridge] If it happens We'll know If it doesn't It doesn't [Chorus] Before the sound I knew the shape of it Before the room I knew where I'd stand You on the strings Me somewhere in it No prophecy Just something I'd seen
