Remember when the sun felt warm upon our face? When laughter echoed softly in this place? Yesterday as friends, today all has to change, A subtle shift, a venom we rearrange. The whispers started, sowing seeds of fear and doubt, A fragile trust is fading, wearing out. We looked each other in the eye, so clear and bright, Unaware the encroaching darkness of the night. The curse of lies, misunderstanding's game, It's deliberate, the truth they aim to tame. We lose connection, deaf to reason's call, And hate replaces love, ensuring our downfall. Someone needs a big war for power, more control to seize, To watch the flames ignite and break our inner peace. They spin their tales of foes, a threat they fabricate, While lining pockets with the blood we generate. Plastic humanism, empty ethics they embrace, With words of value hiding agendas, leaving no trace. They build their cruel regimes on hopes and dreams deceased, While silencing the truth, and twisting what's believed. The curse of lies, misunderstanding's game, It's deliberate, the truth they aim to tame. We lose connection, deaf to reason's call, And hate replaces love, ensuring our downfall. The gears are turning, grinding down what's good and right, Preparing battlefields where futures lost their light. Empathy is fading, replaced by angry sound, Reflected in the burning madness all around. Can we still make it through this coming crushing fight? As one united people, stand against the endless night? As living beings, facing down this bitter plight, Or will the seeds of hatred steal away our light? In coming chaos, can humanity survive? Divided, broken, barely still alive. The question lingers, heavy in the air, Will hope remain, or vanish in despair?
