[Intro melody] [Verse] Saw a bug in my water dish you know I had to stare It wiggled and it jiggled like it didn’t have a care I dipped my paw to tap it but that bug was really fast Zoomed around my drinking bowl how long will this last [Chorus] Oh bug in the kitty water you gave me quite a fright But chasing you in circles has brought me much delight I'll get you my small friend just wait until tonight It's a game of patience gonna last until first light [Verse 2] I gave a little hiss but the bug just did a spin I waited for my moment I was sure that I could win With a leap and a splash I missed but that's okay Who knew this tiny bug could make my entire day [Chorus] Oh bug in the kitty water you gave me quite a fright But chasing you in circles has brought me much delight I'll get you my small friend just wait until tonight It's a game of patience gonna last until first light [Verse 3] Tapped the bowl with my nose to see if you would flee You floated there serenely like you’re teasing me But I’m a clever kitty I've got plenty tricks to try Gonna scoop you up bug just you wait, no lie [Chorus] Oh bug in the kitty water you gave me quite a fright But chasing you in circles has brought me much delight I'll get you my small friend just wait until tonight It's a game of patience gonna last until first light [Verse 4] Circling round and round my eyes are set like glue Each tiny ripple I'm getting closer to you My whiskers tremble with the thrill of the chase Soon you’ll see what it's like when I pick up the pace [Bridge] Day turned into night and the moon began to creep But still I watched that water not a wink of sleep I'll catch you little bug In this I do believe For now you stay and tease me but soon you'll take your leave [Chorus] Oh bug in the kitty water you gave me quite a fright But chasing you in circles has brought me much delight I got you my small friend I just had to wait a while It was a game of patience I lasted through the trial [Melody] [Post-Chorus] I found out that bugs are not the best things for me to eat Now I'm telling Daddy that I earned myself a great big TREAT! [Melody] [FADE OUT] [END]
