In the haze of a summer afternoon... Drifting through a daydream... In the haze of a summer afternoon... Drifting through a daydream... In the haze of a summer afternoon... Drifting through a daydream... In the haze of a summer afternoon... Drifting through a daydream... In the haze of a summer afternoon... Drifting through a daydream... ──────────────────── Imaginary Love Novel [Intro] A summer afternoon... Drifting into a quiet daydream... [Verse 1] I reached my hand toward the endless sky, While my heart wandered into a season of countless stories. Wrapped inside a world sketched in colored pencils, I let myself dissolve into its blurred colors. [Pre-Chorus 1] Memories, gently rewritten by time, Reflected only the happiness they chose to keep. [Chorus 1] Kirari Hikaru The imaginary love novel That I once called "myself"— Back then, Just one glance could turn another page. In the haze of a summer afternoon... Drifting through a daydream... [Verse 2] In the end, I never even reached the place called love. I only stood there, Squinting into the dazzling light. Aimless conversations, And the distant sound Of the final school bell. [Pre-Chorus 2] Inside the illustrations Of a hardbound novel, There wasn't a single page Where our worlds ever met. [Chorus 2] Kirari Hikaru The imaginary love novel That I once called "myself"— I was only standing On a stage With no lines to speak. In the haze of a summer afternoon... Drifting through a daydream... [Solo] [Chorus 3] Kirari Hikaru The imaginary love novel That I once called "myself"— Somehow, It always calls my name When I've almost forgotten it. In the haze of a summer afternoon... Drifting through a daydream... [Bridge] In the corner of a colored-pencil sketch, The outline of who I was Remained, never erased. Even those cast as extras Who only watched the light Carried shadows of their own. At the edge of an old snapshot, My quiet gaze Still lingered there. Just another face Among the countless lives of that youthful story— Yet I truly belonged To that season. The wishes written into words Faded away, Never becoming more Than an unfinished draft. [Chorus 4] Kirari Hikaru The imaginary love novel That I once called "myself"— One quiet sigh, Spilled without warning, And every page Began to come undone. In the haze of a summer afternoon... Drifting through a daydream... [Bridge 2] I thought I was writing A love story. Yet somehow, My pen kept tracing youth instead. Turning page after page, None of them belonged to the leading role. The story I kept writing Was never meant to become A love letter for someone else. I was never cast In the main story. It was simply My story. With one final line, Written to the person I used to be, It quietly faded into the light. [Final Chorus] Kirari Hikaru The imaginary love novel That I once called "myself"— Until the light Running down my face Made every page unreadable. In the haze of a summer afternoon... Drifting through a daydream... [Outro] I wonder why... It never felt like sadness to me. The scent of rain-soaked paper Melting into the petrichor after the rain. It was simply Too beautiful, Too precious to let go. And somehow, That beautiful lie Still gives me the strength To keep moving forward today. Summer daydream... Drifting away... [CODA] A summer afternoon... Drifting into a quiet daydream...
