The influencers pose with mushroom clouds behind, “Apocalypse but make it cute” EndOfTimesDefined. My dog’s still chasing squirrels like the world ain’t ‘bout to pop, While I’m stress-eating snacks like, “Well… guess I shouldn’t stop.” The news guy shrugs and mutters, “Yeah, this might be kinda bad,” Then cuts to ads for mattresses — “Sleep comfy, don’t be sad.” We spent so long arguing who’s right and who’s a fool, Now we’re all just equal… glowing skeletons. Real cool. [Verse 2] So we want to save the planet but the big guys want the world Give them all some wealth and power, or they'll cry like little girls The president’s on TikTok, he declared another war, Says it’s “for the people,” but we’re out the grocery store Senators are playing poker, never want to take our call Passing bills for aliens… or maybe just a giant mall. Lobbyists throw confetti, whisper, “We need more oil!” While we’re stuck in traffic, sweating, feeling soiled. The VP’s caught napping in a bunker full of snacks, While generals plan battles and forget about the facts. Campaign promises like paper planes in hurricanes, They fly for a second, then crash, and we complain Politicians hug sharks just to prove that they are brave, Meanwhile we’re scavenging for scraps that they barely even gave They declare holidays for themselves, we just get taxes and chores, And the president tweets about golf while the whole world snores. The war hungry cheer, “More wars, and less thought!” And we’re like… “Well, I guess it’s what we fought for… not.” [Verse 3] Its the End of the World, and we barely even noticed We were too busy doom scrolling so we couldn't really focus The sky’s on fire, but someone’s still selling avocado toast, While politicians argue over who deserves the most. Aliens might land, but we’re too tired to care, Just memes and hashtags floating through the smoky air. Our pets are smarter now, they’re running the show, While we’re trying to figure out which way to go.
