Mermaid of the Red Sea

V5

1 Leaving behind all my troubles and fears, I’m flying where the Red Sea appears. The sunset’s burning, the warm wind sighs, The sea is whispering its lullabies. It feels like I’m inside a dream, For two weeks I’m a mermaid queen. I’m lost in wonder, deep and free, The Red Sea’s kingdom’s calling me. Chorus Corals shining, catching the light, Glowing colors so vivid and bright. Little fishes are swimming around, Busy and calm without a sound. Breathless beauty all I see, My dreams come true in the sea. 2 Butterflyfish circling near, Playing around without any fear. Parrotfish crunch the coral stone, Colorful fish never swim alone. From the cave peeks out a moray, Watching the world in her own proud way. A lionfish floats with a dangerous grace, You better beware of her deadly embrace. 3 Here swims a Surgeon, and there — a Unicorn, And somewhere nearby an octopus born. A turtle glides slowly, calm and wise, And a sea urchin’s needles rise. I met a Napoleon fish, strong and grand, Like an emperor ruling this coral land. And that’s a Threadfin wrasse with a tail so fine, Oh, such a beauty — how she shines! 4 Angelfish dancing softly in pair, So mesmerizing I just stare. Arabian angelfish came to see, Who’s diving now beneath the sea. There goes Picasso, bold and sly, Winking to me as he swims by. An Eagle ray glides like a bird in flight, While Clownfish plays where corals light. Chorus Corals shining, catching the light, Glowing colors so vivid and bright. Little fishes are swimming around, Busy and calm without a sound. Breathless beauty all I see, My dreams come true in the sea. Bridge How quickly time has slipped away, It’s time to go — though I wish to stay. But I don’t feel sad, for I know it’s true, Someday I’ll come back to the Red Sea blue. Final Chorus Corals will shine and catch the light, Glowing colors will burn so bright. Fishes will swim around with glee, Busy and calm beneath the sea. And breathless once again I’ll be — For all my dreams will come true in the sea.
