Velvet Smoke and Moonlight Loot
[Intro] Listen close, kittens and cardsharps, to the pink small thunder with the sharp-cat grin, that boulevard balloon with the lullaby fuse, that soft round outlaw with moon-dust shoes. [Spoken] They called her Jigglypuff. But in the backroom hush, under violet lamps and a ceiling fan that clicked like a nervous snare, they called her the hush after the alarm, the velvet knockout, the pretty little ghost who could sing a vault asleep. [Verse] She rolled with the Fary 8.5, half halo, half lockpick, all nerve. Sylveon on silk-wire distraction. Clefable with the blueprints folded in her glove. Mimikyu in the ventwork, collecting secrets like lint and teeth. Ribombee on lookout, jittering gold dust in the streetlight. Tinkaton in the van with a grin like property damage. Comfey patching bruises before they happened. Mawile handling negotiations with that iron second smile. And the point-five? That was luck, baby. That was panic. That was the crooked extra beat between the safe cracking and the siren. [Spoken - Scene One] The mark was the Moonstone Crown, locked in a museum built by rich men who thought glass meant forever. Chrome lasers. Marble floors. Guards with polished shoes and empty eyes. The kind of joint that smelled like money had never sweated. [Verse] Jigglypuff stepped in wearing midnight like it was tailored. No cape. No crown. No noisy swagger. Just a marker in one stubby hand, microphone in the other, and a gaze that said: you built this room for worship, I built my voice for ruin. [Spoken] Sylveon flirted with the cameras. Clefable counted the rotations. Mimikyu slipped through the walls like a bad thought. Ribombee tapped the tempo on the comms. One-two, hold. One-two, breathe. One-two, trouble. [Chorus] Hush now. Lean low. The night’s got pockets, and we know where the bright things go. Hush now. Stay cool. The law writes reports, but the moon writes the rules. [Spoken - The Turn] Then the whole sweet racket bent sideways. A guard turned early. A beam kissed red. The room woke up mean. Some crews run when the blueprint tears. Not the Fary 8.5. They got jazz in the bloodstream. They improvise like saints with priors. [Verse] Tinkaton killed the lights with one laughing swing. Mawile smiled the hard smile. Comfey kept everybody stitched to courage. And Jigglypuff, little queen of catastrophic calm, stood dead center in the panic bloom, lifted the mic, and sang one silver line so slow the guard’s rage folded into dreaming. [Spoken] Not loud. Not flashy. Just smooth as smoke through a keyhole. The lasers blurred. The shouting softened. Even the clocks seemed drowsy. [Bridge] That’s the trick, see. Muscle gets you headlines. Style gets you history. Anybody can smash and snatch. It takes poetry to leave the room untouched, except for the missing treasure and the lipstick sentence on the case: THANKS FOR THE MOON. [Final Verse] By dawn they were gone, tires humming low over rain-black streets, the Crown wrapped in velvet, the city still rubbing sleep from its eyes. Jigglypuff in the passenger seat, feet up, marker tucked behind one ear, already sketching the next impossible. [Outro] So if you hear a lullaby drifting through a locked door, check your pockets, check your pulse, check the shine right out of your trophy room. Because somewhere under the neon holy hush, that badass puff and the Fary 8.5 are making crime look like chamber music.
