[Verse] Long ago in the ice and the dark A spell was cast brought from below the mark Frozen souls in the night somehow woke Bound to vengeance eternal choke Snowflakes jagged and pain-filled cries Under moonlight pale terror in their eyes [Verse 2] Children of the forest ancient sorcery Bound them tight in cold misery A war begun to guard the land Now they walk beyond the hand Footsteps echo hearts grow cold Legends whispered fearful told [Chorus] Winter's march relentless bring The ancient doom the icy sting Wraiths of frost the dead they spring Cold and empty death they bring [Bridge] No warmth can battle no light can fight The endless winter the eternal night Secrets lost in depths of snow Why they come we’ll never know [Verse 3] Armies rise with lifeless eyes Shadows creep under starless skies Once protectors now our doom Frozen tombs in endless gloom Every step their hunger grows Broken dreams the night it knows [Chorus] Winter's march relentless bring The ancient doom the icy sting Wraiths of frost the dead they spring Cold and empty death they bring
